What is Tinnitus and how do I fix it?? Tinnitus is the perception of noise or ringing in the ears when no noise is actually present. It can be perceived in one ear or both ears. People describe the ‘noise’ as ringing, humming or high-pitched whining, hissing or whistling. It can also be accompanied by what patients call a fullness in the ears.
This is a problem that affects 1 in 5 people and can be caused by a variety of things. Tinnitus is often experienced along with many other things on our head and neck checklist. These can be head and neck tension, migraine, TMJ/TMD and/or clenching and grinding.
